For cutting on a concrete base floor, blade bevel should be up and only use 2/3 of blade on each pass. If removing tile, work diagonally on surface.
For cutting on a wood base floor, blade bevel should be down. Remove material in the direction of wood grain to limit gouging (some gouging is unavoidable). Only you 2/3 of blade on each pass.
